Police have identified the body that was discovered on a Fort Lauderdale beach this morning.

Nolan Morrand, a 46-year-old Miramar resident, was found washed up on the beach wearing only jeans around 6:40 a.m., according to the Sun-Sentinel.

Police had cordoned off the area where Morran’s body was found this morning — south of Vista Park, near the 2800 block of North Atlantic Boulevard.

Police haven’t made any announcements as to how long Morrand had been missing or what his cause of death is.

Morrand’s body is currently with the Broward Medical Examiner while police are trying to figure out what happened.

The cops are attempting to create a timeline of what Morrand was doing before he died, so if you know, they ask that you call Detective James Jaggers at 954-828-5970 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
