George Zimmerman has 48 hours to turn himself in to authorities after his bond was revoked at a hearing this afternoon in which prosecutors accused both Zimmerman and his wife of lying to the court about the $200,000 in donations they collected from a personal website in the days leading up to the initial hearings.
“Defendant has intentionally deceived the court with the assistance of his wife,” the motion says, per the Orlando Sentinel. “During the jail phone calls both of them spoke in code to hide what they were doing.”
“This court was led to believe that they didn’t have a single penny,” said prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda said this afternoon. “[Zimmerman’s wife] flat-out lied to this court.”
